Basket Case Cinema is responsible for a handful of short films, documentaries, and commissioned works. Recent clients include UBC's SOGI education program and the Reelout Queer Film Festival based in Kingston, Ontario. ​

 

The brains behind the Basket Case Cinema operation is William Jennings (pictured left), a PhD student at Queen's University. He obtained a BA with distinction in Art History from the University of Victoria, and an MA in Film and Media from Queen's U. Despite having a steady but unremarkable career as a freelance videographer and editor, William has primarily spent his adult life working in independent movie theatres and video stores. His films have been screened at festivals and conferences across Canada - such as the Victoria Short Film Festival, Besides the Screen, and FMSAC - as well as internationally.

William is a co-founder of the Cinema Society of Kingston.
